Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
