In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an special katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also introduces the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive abilities: Naoe reveals a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a original environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
