Juventus Bring In Former Italian National Team Boss the Experienced Gaffer

The Serie A powerhouse have named ex- Azzurri manager Luciano Spalletti as their manager until the end of the season.

Spalletti steps in for his predecessor, who was let go following the loss to Lazio on Sunday.

The former boss came on board in March as Thiago Motta's replacement but exited following a seven-month stint after an eight-game winless streak.

Under Spalletti, Napoli clinched the Serie A championship in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

He helped them qualify for Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, with the Azzurri at risk of missing out on a third consecutive World Cup.

Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla took interim charge of Juventus in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
